#1 - Detail Liner Brush
Info
Detail Liner Brush #1 - Thin and the shortest brush for fine lines and detail work.
- Ensure you "prime" your brush by applying a clear, soakable gel (such as LUXA Gloss) over the bristles in the direction they should lie. This prevents gel color from settling too deeply within the bristles and helps maintain the brush's shape.
- Important: Store the brush capped and away from any direct or indirect sunlight between uses.
- Whenever possible, avoid using acetone on your brush, as it may dry out the bristles.
- After use, gently wipe the brush with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free wipe to remove any gel.
- Reapply clear gel, wiping off any excess, before storage to condition the bristles.
Fix a hardened brush tip:
- Soak the brush tip in alcohol just until the bristles become flexible (about two minutes).
- Use a clear, soakable gel to gently reshape the bristles.
Fix bent/frayed bristles with water:
- Run the brush under super hot water, for at least 15 seconds.
- Mold the bristles straight, and allow to dry.
Fix bent/frayed bristles with gel:
- Run clear, soakable gel over the bristles in the direction they should lay.
- Wipe any excess, re-molding as you go.
